Core Duties

• Partner with veterinarians to deliver thorough care for all animal patients
• Secure animals safely during opening examinations whenever the situation requires it
• Replenish materials so examination rooms and surgery suites stay fully prepared
• Sterilize instruments completely and confirm readiness before each reuse
• Inspect equipment regularly so everything remains in reliable working order
• Carry out technical procedures that may involve venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia administration and monitoring, dental prophylaxis, radiography, medication delivery, laboratory analysis, and client education, always governed by applicable state limits
• Speak directly with pet owners to exchange updates and practical guidance
• Keep patient files current with accurate, timely entries

Requirements

• Ability to apply safe restraint techniques during examination moments
• Capacity to perform or rapidly acquire technical skills that cover venous sampling, catheter work, anesthesia support, dental cleanings, radiographic imaging, medication administration, laboratory evaluation, and owner teaching within state guidelines
• Strong interpersonal communication suited to productive conversations with pet owners
• Careful attention to detail when creating or revising patient documentation
• Willingness to contribute productively inside a multi-doctor animal hospital that values both patient excellence and owner satisfaction
