Your Responsibilities

• Install, mount, power, and commission cameras, readers, control panels, sensors, power supplies, and supporting electronic security hardware.
• Diagnose, repair, and replace faulty or degraded components so systems return to reliable operation quickly.
• Pull, terminate, label, and test low-voltage cabling, pathways, and connections according to print and manufacturer guidance.
• Program controllers and system software, enroll devices, set schedules or rules, and verify full system function after changes.
• Interpret drawings, risers, and wiring diagrams to complete accurate installs and service work the first time.
• Coordinate with site contacts and teammates on access, sequencing, and handoffs while protecting active spaces.
• Follow job-site safety practices, keep work areas orderly, and manage tools and materials responsibly.
• Document tickets, device IP/address data, as-built notes, and daily progress so records stay complete and usable.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience as a security technician or electronic security systems installer and service technician.
• Working knowledge of low-voltage methods for access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection systems.
• Skill using multimeters, hand and power tools, ladders, and common test equipment in a field setting.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and equipment literature without constant supervision.
• Strong troubleshooting judgment with electromechanical hardware and networked security devices.
• Clear spoken and written communication for status updates, handoffs, and customer interaction.
• Reliable way to report to job sites in and around Austin, TX as assigned for this full-time role.
• Physical readiness to lift equipment, climb, kneel, and work in varied indoor and outdoor settings.
