Financial Analyst

TheHiveCareers is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our finance team in Jamaica. This full-time role offers the opportunity to shape strategic financial decisions through rigorous data analysis, forecasting, and insight generation.

What This Role Involves

As a Financial Analyst at TheHiveCareers in Jamaica, you'll be at the heart of our financial operations, transforming raw financial data into strategic intelligence that drives business decisions. Your work will span financial modelling, performance monitoring, budget development, and risk assessment across the financial services landscape. You'll partner with colleagues across departments to deliver the financial clarity and foresight our organisation relies on.

Responsibilities

• Extract, evaluate, and interpret financial datasets to inform strategic planning and executive decision-making
• Build and manage financial forecasting models to project performance, evaluate risk exposure, and assess investment viability
• Develop comprehensive financial reports, analytical dashboards, and stakeholder presentations for internal and external audiences
• Execute variance analysis comparing actual results to budgets and forecasts, identifying operational drivers and trends
• Collaborate with teams across the organisation to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans
• Track key financial performance indicators and stay current with sector developments to spot opportunities for enhancement
• Prepare comprehensive documentation and analyses for investor meetings, board reviews, and financial evaluations
• Maintain data quality and accuracy standards across all reporting and analytical work
• Lead analytical projects including operational efficiency assessments and profitability evaluations

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline (preferred)
• 2–3 years of professional experience in financial analysis, investment analysis, or equivalent finance roles
• Strong capacity for financial reasoning and the ability to navigate intricate financial information with confidence
• Expert-level Excel capability; familiarity with financial modelling platforms or BI systems such as Power BI is an asset
• Thorough grounding in financial statements, accounting fundamentals, and financial ratio analysis
• Background in or knowledge of financial services sector and financial products is strongly valued
• Articulate communicator with strong writing and presentation abilities
