Materials Planning & Procurement Specialist

Qualdoc is seeking a Materials Planning & Procurement Specialist to join our manufacturing operations in Marietta, OH. This full-time position offers a meaningful role in keeping our production facility running smoothly and efficiently.

The Opportunity

Every day, hundreds of decisions flow through your department—purchasing the right materials, planning production schedules, and managing inventory to prevent bottlenecks. As our Materials Planning & Procurement Specialist, you'll orchestrate these critical functions to ensure materials arrive when production needs them, no sooner, no later. You'll maintain the planning data that guides our operations and drive the material flow that keeps us competitive. This role sits at the intersection of procurement, operations, and manufacturing, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where accuracy and efficiency directly impact our bottom line. The position offers starting compensation of $60,000 annually, with the potential for higher pay commensurate with your experience in manufacturing and procurement.

Your Responsibilities

• Coordinate all purchasing activities to align with production schedules and material demand
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date production planning information across our systems
• Optimize inventory levels to support manufacturing without creating waste or delays
• Work collaboratively with production and operations teams to forecast material requirements
• Manage ERP and MRP systems to track procurement, suppliers, and material availability
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement efficiency and reduce sourcing costs

Requirements

• Proven background in manufacturing purchasing and procurement
• Working knowledge of production planning methodologies
• Proficiency with ERP systems, MRP platforms, or similar manufacturing software
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with keen attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate in a team-driven manufacturing setting
