DevOps Engineer

Jobgether is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team in a full-time, remote position based in Australia. This role sits at the heart of our infrastructure strategy, where you'll design, build, and operate the systems that power our digital platforms at scale.

Position Summary

We're looking for a skilled DevOps professional to take ownership of our cloud and on-premises infrastructure. You'll work alongside developers, quality assurance specialists, and operations teams to accelerate software delivery through intelligent automation, robust deployment strategies, and proactive system optimisation. Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure solutions across cloud and on-premises environments
• Build and optimise deployment pipelines to enable faster, safer releases to production
• Automate routine operational tasks and complex system configurations to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
• Collaborate with software engineers and QA teams to ensure smooth integration across development, testing, and deployment workflows
• Monitor system performance and reliability, implementing improvements that strengthen platform stability
• Champion DevOps best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering team

Who We're Looking For

• Proven experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or site reliability engineering (SRE)
• Strong proficiency with cloud platforms, containerisation, or orchestration technologies
• Demonstrated expertise in infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, and deployment automation
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and system architecture principles
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive solutions collaboratively
• Commitment to writing clean, maintainable infrastructure code and documentation
