Professional Stormwater Engineer

Trilongroup is hiring a Professional Stormwater Engineer to join our growing team in Neptune, New Jersey. In this full-time position, you'll design and oversee stormwater management systems while contributing to critical infrastructure and land development initiatives across the region.

What This Role Involves

This position combines technical design expertise with hands-on project involvement. You'll work with public and private clients to develop stormwater solutions that meet regulatory requirements, protect environmental resources, and support sustainable development. Your work will span feasibility studies, detailed design, permitting support, and construction administration across residential, commercial, and municipal projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive stormwater management plans and designs using industry-standard software
• Perform site assessments and hydrologic analyses to evaluate drainage challenges
• Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and technical reports
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies on permitting and environmental compliance
• Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and environmental specialists on integrated project teams
• Provide technical support during construction and troubleshoot field conditions
• Stay current with evolving stormwater regulations and best management practices

Skills & Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license in New Jersey or ability to obtain one
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or related field
• 2+ years of professional experience in stormwater design or water resources engineering
• Proficiency with civil engineering design software and CAD platforms
• Strong understanding of stormwater regulations, NJDEP standards, and environmental permitting processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in team environments
