About the Role
As Business Development Manager, Medical Communications, you'll be responsible for identifying and capturing new business opportunities within the medical communications sector. You'll work closely with our service delivery teams to understand client needs and develop tailored solutions that strengthen our competitive position. This role combines strategic business development with deep engagement across the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, positioning you to build lasting client relationships that fuel our growth in the London and wider UK market.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Prospect and qualify potential clients across pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, and healthcare organisations
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities through networking, research, and targeted outreach
- Develop compelling pitches and proposals that communicate the value of our services
- Conduct discovery meetings to understand client objectives and challenge areas
- Collaborate with account management and delivery teams to ensure seamless onboarding and client satisfaction
- Track pipeline progress, forecast revenue, and report on key business development metrics
- Attend industry events and conferences to generate leads and strengthen market visibility
Who We're Looking For
- Proven business development experience, ideally within medical communications, healthcare marketing, or B2B services
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical and medical communications landscape
- Excellent relationship-building and consultative selling skills
- Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to develop proposals, close deals, and manage sales pipelines
- Fluent in written and spoken English; additional language skills valued
