System & Network Engineer (Level II)

Prime System Solutions is hiring a System & Network Engineer (Level II) to join our team in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. This full-time position offers an opportunity to take ownership of critical infrastructure systems, build on your technical foundation, and contribute to our growing technology operations.

Role Overview

As a System & Network Engineer at Level II, you'll bridge technical execution and strategic planning. You'll manage a diverse range of systems and networks, diagnose complex technical issues, implement stable solutions, and support junior team members where needed. This role involves hands-on engineering coupled with increasing responsibility for system reliability, security, and performance across our infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain servers, storage systems, and network infrastructure in multi-environment settings
• Troubleshoot and resolve system and network issues with minimal guidance, documenting root causes and preventive measures
• Monitor system performance and security; implement patches, updates, and security hardening measures
• Collaborate with IT teams to design and optimise infrastructure for reliability and scalability
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, procedures, and runbooks
• Respond to infrastructure incidents and participate in post-incident review processes
• Support capacity planning and technology refresh initiatives

Requirements

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in systems administration, network engineering, or infrastructure operations
• Working knowledge of server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux distributions) and networking protocols
• Experience with firewalls, switches, routers, VPNs, and network security concepts
• Familiarity with virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, or equivalent) and storage systems
• Proficiency in scripting or automation (PowerShell, Bash, or similar)
• Relevant industry certifications (CompTIA Security+, CCNA, Microsoft certifications, or equivalent) are a plus
• Strong troubleshooting mindset with attention to detail and documentation
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly
