System & Network Engineer

Prime System Solutions is seeking an experienced System & Network Engineer to join our growing team in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. This full-time position offers an opportunity to design, implement, and maintain critical IT infrastructure supporting our operations across the region.

Position Summary

The System & Network Engineer will serve as a technical backbone for Prime System Solutions, responsible for ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient IT infrastructure. You will oversee network architecture, manage enterprise systems, and provide technical leadership to support business continuity. This role requires strong expertise in systems administration, network operations, and infrastructure management, working closely with internal teams to resolve technical challenges and optimise performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage on-premises and cloud-based network infrastructure
• Configure and maintain servers, firewalls, switches, and networking equipment
• Monitor system performance and security; identify and resolve infrastructure issues
• Implement network security protocols, patch management, and disaster recovery procedures
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users and internal teams
• Document network topologies, configurations, and standard operating procedures
• Plan capacity expansion and recommend technology upgrades to support business growth
• Collaborate with vendors and external partners on infrastructure projects

Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in system administration or network engineering
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching protocols
• Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux server environments
• Proficiency with firewalls, VPNs, and network security tools
• Experience with virtualisation platforms and cloud services (AWS, Azure, or similar)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Industry certifications (CompTIA Security+, CCNA, MCSA, or equivalent) preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
