Sales Development Representative (Midtown Manhattan)

Premium Merchant Funding is seeking a Sales Development Representative to join our growing team in Midtown Manhattan, New York. This full-time position offers the opportunity to build a career in merchant lending sales, connecting innovative funding solutions with the business owners who need them most across the New York area.

Role Overview

In this Sales Development Representative role, you'll be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and nurturing business opportunities for Premium Merchant Funding. Working from our Midtown Manhattan office, you'll be the crucial first touchpoint for prospects, conducting product demonstrations, answering questions about our merchant funding solutions, and building relationships with decision-makers at small to mid-size businesses. Your efforts directly impact our sales pipeline and fuel the company's expansion across the New York market and beyond.

Your Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify inbound leads through multiple channels including website inquiries, marketing campaigns, and referral partners
• Execute strategic outbound prospecting activities via phone, email, and LinkedIn to target merchant and business owner prospects
• Schedule and conduct initial qualification calls to assess fit and business needs
• Coordinate product demonstrations and presentations with enterprise sales team members
• Maintain accurate records of all interactions, follow-ups, and pipeline progress in our CRM platform
• Achieve and exceed monthly pipeline generation targets and activity metrics
• Partner with marketing and sales leadership to refine messaging and identify emerging market opportunities

Requirements

• 1–3 years of professional experience in sales development, business development, inside sales, or customer success roles
• Proficiency with CRM platforms and ability to quickly master new sales technologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex products simply
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, goal-oriented environments
• Self-directed work ethic with strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Genuine interest in business finance and merchant lending solutions (or willingness to learn)
• Must work in-office at our Midtown Manhattan location in New York
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
