Account Coordinator: Faith-Based Non-Profit

Pinkston is seeking a full-time Account Coordinator to join our team at our Falls Church, Virginia office. In this pivotal role, you'll manage financial records, support our accounting operations, and help ensure the accuracy and integrity of our organization's financial foundation as we serve our faith-based mission.

Role Overview

As Account Coordinator for Pinkston, you'll be the operational backbone of our accounting department. This is a hands-on position where attention to detail, organizational skill, and a commitment to our mission converge. You'll work directly with account records, reconciliations, and reporting processes that keep our nonprofit running smoothly and transparently.

Your Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize financial documentation, ensuring all records are complete, accurate, and readily accessible
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable processing, including invoice verification and payment coordination
• Reconcile bank statements, ledger accounts, and financial reports to identify and resolve discrepancies
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliation
• Prepare financial schedules, reports, and documentation for internal management and external audits
• Communicate with vendors, donors, and internal departments to clarify transactions and resolve accounting matters
• Assist with grant accounting tracking and compliance documentation as required
• Perform general administrative duties that support the accounting function

Who We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; accounting coursework, certifications, or prior relevant experience preferred
• Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet applications (Excel or similar)
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills with a track record of accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Professional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments
• Discretion and integrity in handling sensitive financial information
• Genuine interest in supporting faith-based nonprofit work
