Public Relations- Senior Account Manager- Strategic Communications

Pinkston is seeking an experienced Public Relations Senior Account Manager to lead strategic communications efforts and drive impactful client partnerships. What This Role Involves

As a Senior Account Manager in Strategic Communications at Pinkston, you'll oversee comprehensive public relations initiatives for marquee clients. This position combines deep client partnership development with hands-on strategic planning, positioning you to influence how brands communicate with their audiences. You'll manage complex, multifaceted campaigns that span earned media, stakeholder engagement, and thought leadership—all while maintaining the highest standards of strategic counsel.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Develop and execute integrated communications strategies tailored to client objectives and market dynamics
• Cultivate and manage relationships with media contacts, industry influencers, and key stakeholders
• Lead account teams through campaign planning, content development, and tactical execution
• Monitor media coverage, industry trends, and competitive landscapes to inform strategy
• Produce strategic recommendations and campaign briefs that demonstrate ROI and business impact
• Serve as primary client liaison, ensuring clear communication and exceptional service delivery
• Oversee crisis communication preparedness and response protocols when needed

Who We're Looking For

• 7+ years of public relations or strategic communications experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or account leadership capacity
• Proven track record managing major accounts and leading successful, measurable campaigns
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives
• Strategic thinking paired with strong project management and attention to detail
• Deep understanding of media landscapes and relationships with journalists or media professionals
• Client-focused mindset with excellent relationship-building and consultative skills
• Experience in crisis communications, thought leadership, or integrated campaigns is a plus
