About the Role
As a certified Home Health Aide with Affirmed Home Care, you'll provide essential in-home care and support to clients in the Yorktown area. This part-time position offers flexible day shift hours and the opportunity to work autonomously in clients' homes—building genuine relationships while delivering compassionate, dignity-centered care. We're actively seeking dependable aides with reliable transportation for Westchester County assignments.
What You'll Do
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility support
- Help with light housekeeping and meal preparation in clients' homes
- Monitor client comfort and report any changes to supervisors or care coordinators
- Provide emotional support and companionship, respecting client preferences and independence
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
- Transport clients to appointments or outings where needed (valid driver's license required for certain assignments)
What We're Looking For
- Current HHA certification (required)
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Dependable, punctual, and compassionate approach to care
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with clients, families, and supervisors
- Physical ability to assist clients with mobility and transfers
- Flexibility to accommodate day shift scheduling
