TYLin is hiring a Senior Environmental Planner to join our growing infrastructure consulting team in Sacramento, Sacramento County. About the Role
As a Senior Environmental Planner at TYLin, you'll serve as a technical leader on environmental planning assignments across the Sacramento region. You will help clients navigate regulatory requirements, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and deliver thoughtful, constructible solutions for infrastructure projects of varying size and complexity. This is an on-site, full-time position based in Sacramento County.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead environmental review and documentation efforts for infrastructure and development projects, including CEQA and NEPA compliance.
- Prepare, review, and manage environmental impact reports, assessments, and supporting technical studies.
- Coordinate with engineers, designers, agencies, and stakeholders to keep projects on schedule and in regulatory compliance.
- Mentor junior planners and provide quality oversight on deliverables.
- Support proposals, scopes, and budgets for new and ongoing environmental planning work.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in environmental planning, ideally within an infrastructure, transportation, or consulting setting.
- Working knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations, including CEQA and NEPA processes.
- Strong technical writing, analytical, and project coordination skills.
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines and manage multiple priorities on-site in Sacramento.
- A relevant degree in environmental planning, environmental science, urban planning, or a related field.
