Product Manager – Accounting

Pinewood.AI is looking for a Product Manager – Accounting to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of our accounting solutions. This is a full-time remote position available to candidates in the United States who are ready to drive product innovation in financial operations.

Role Overview

As Product Manager for Accounting at Pinewood.AI, you will own the entire product lifecycle for our accounting platform, from market research and strategy through launch and optimization. You'll partner with engineering, design, finance, and go-to-market teams to build features that solve real pain points for accountants and finance professionals. Your decisions will directly shape how thousands of users manage their financial workflows, requiring both technical depth and a strong grasp of accounting principles and industry workflows.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Define and communicate product strategy, roadmap, and quarterly objectives for the accounting vertical
• Gather and synthesize customer feedback, market research, and usage data to identify features and improvements
• Write clear requirements and user stories; work with engineering to scope, prioritize, and deliver quality features on timeline
• Conduct user testing and analyze product metrics to measure adoption, engagement, and revenue impact
• Collaborate with finance and sales teams to ensure product roadmap aligns with business goals and customer retention
• Act as the primary voice of the customer, advocating for user needs in product decisions and company strategy

What You Bring

• 3–5 years of product management experience, ideally in financial software, SaaS, or accounting platforms
• Strong understanding of accounting workflows, compliance requirements, and pain points of accounting teams
• Demonstrated ability to define strategy, prioritize ruthlessly, and ship products that users love
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; you influence without authority
• Comfort with ambiguity; you drive clarity and own outcomes across cross-functional teams
• Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and product metrics
