HR Business Partner – Technology & Engineering (12 Month Fixed-Term Contract)

About This Position

As HR Business Partner for Technology & Engineering, you'll act as a trusted strategic adviser to our engineering and technology leadership. This 12-month fixed-term role places you at the centre of our talent strategy, working from our Solihull location to align people priorities with business objectives. You'll combine deep HR expertise with a pragmatic, commercially minded approach to solve real people challenges.

What You'll Do

• Partner strategically with technology and engineering leaders to address organisational challenges and shape team capability
• Drive recruitment and hiring excellence for technical roles, advising on candidate assessment and team composition
• Support performance management, development conversations, and career progression across the technology function
• Design and deliver learning and development initiatives that build capability within engineering teams
• Advise on organisational design, workforce planning, and structural decisions to support business growth
• Manage employee relations matters and provide HR guidance on employment issues specific to technology teams
• Collaborate with HR colleagues to maintain consistent practice and share best-practice insights

Who We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience as an HR Business Partner, ideally within technology, engineering, or similar technical environments
• Solid grounding in UK employment law, HR practice, and people strategy
• Excellent stakeholder management with the ability to influence senior leaders across technical and business functions
• Proven success in recruitment, talent planning, and organisational development
• A strategic, analytical mind combined with genuine business acumen and commercial awareness
• Comfortable engaging with technical stakeholders and navigating fast-paced, innovation-driven cultures
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build credibility and trust quickly
