About the Role

As a Data Engineer II specializing in Python, you'll own the design and optimization of data pipelines that support our logistics operations, analytics platforms, and machine learning models. You'll collaborate with data scientists, product teams, and platform engineers to ensure reliable, scalable data systems that handle billions of delivery-related events. This role combines technical depth with strategic thinking, requiring both hands-on development and architectural decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Python-based ETL pipelines that process logistics and operational data at scale
• Optimize data warehouse schemas and queries to support analytics and ML workflows
• Collaborate with machine learning engineers to productionize models and integrate predictions into delivery systems
• Implement data quality frameworks and monitoring to ensure pipeline reliability
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to platform best practices and documentation
• Evaluate and integrate new data technologies to improve system performance and capabilities

Who We're Looking For

• Strong proficiency in Python for data engineering with experience in frameworks like pandas, PySpark, or equivalent
• Proven track record designing and optimizing large-scale data pipelines and ETL processes
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, SQL, and relational database design
• Experience with distributed data processing frameworks and cloud data platforms
• Demonstrated ability to work across teams and translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Experience with logistics, supply chain, or marketplace data systems is a plus
