Senior Pre-Sales Engineer

TeraSky seeks an accomplished Senior Pre-Sales Engineer to drive technical strategy throughout the entire sales lifecycle across our United States operations. As a full-time pre-sales specialist, you'll shape customer outcomes by translating complex infrastructure requirements into innovative technical solutions.

What This Role Involves

This position places you at the intersection of sales and technical delivery—leading intricate pre-sales engagements that span virtualization, cloud infrastructure, data protection, and emerging technologies. You'll author high-level solution architectures, conduct proof-of-concept demonstrations, and serve as the trusted technical voice guiding clients through their transformation journeys. Your contributions will directly influence how TeraSky positions its storage, hyperconverged infrastructure, and Software-Defined Data Center solutions in an increasingly complex market.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Orchestrate complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes within enterprise environments, particularly those involving virtualization platforms and hybrid cloud deployments.
• Collaborate with account management and delivery teams to ensure seamless transitions from sales engagement through successful implementation.
• Conduct technical discovery sessions to uncover customer pain points and design tailored infrastructure solutions.
• Develop comprehensive scopes of work and solution design documentation that address business and technical requirements.
• Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements that showcase TeraSky capabilities.
• Advise on technology roadmap decisions and market positioning based on your expertise and customer feedback.
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain competitive technical knowledge.

What You Bring

• Minimum 5+ years of IT industry experience with 3+ years in a solutions architecture or pre-sales engineering role.
• Deep expertise in virtualization platforms, including VMware SDDC technologies (vSAN, vSphere, NSX) or comparable solutions.
• Strong familiarity with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, VMware Tanzu, OpenShift, or EKS.
• Solid understanding of public cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud integration patterns.
• Working knowledge of networking concepts, DevOps methodologies, and infrastructure automation.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholder groups—from C-suite executives to engineering teams.
• Proven success building trusted relationships and collaborating across sales, technical, and delivery organizations.
• Consulting or professional services background is highly valued.
