Senior Scientific Writer II

Novartis is recruiting a Senior Scientific Writer II for our India office. In this full-time position, you will craft compelling, accurate medical and scientific communications that support our therapeutic portfolio and strengthen our brand's scientific standing within the healthcare sector.

Role Overview

As Senior Scientific Writer II, you will be a key contributor to Novartis's scientific communications strategy. You will develop authoritative content that bridges clinical evidence and strategic brand objectives, ensuring every piece meets rigorous compliance standards and resonates with healthcare professionals. This role combines advanced writing expertise with deep scientific knowledge and regulatory awareness, positioning you to influence how the market understands our medicines.

Core Duties

• Produce scientifically rigorous, well-researched articles, regulatory documents, clinical summaries, and educational materials that align with therapeutic area goals
• Review, edit, and refine scientific content to ensure medical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and brand consistency across all deliverables
• Collaborate with medical, regulatory, and marketing teams to translate complex data into accessible, compelling narratives for healthcare audiences
• Stay current with therapeutic area developments, emerging clinical data, and regulatory requirements to inform content strategy
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting strict deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of quality and accuracy

Skills & Qualifications

• Master's degree in life sciences, medical writing, pharmacy, medicine, or related discipline
• 5+ years of professional experience in medical writing, scientific communications, or clinical content development
• Strong command of scientific and medical terminology, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and accurately
• Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory guidelines and compliance requirements in pharmaceutical communications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a portfolio of published or professional writing samples
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in cross-functional, fast-paced environments
