Cybersecurity Management Consultant(m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential management consulting firm seeking a Cybersecurity Management Consultant to join their Munich-based team. Our client works with organizations navigating complex regulatory landscapes including CRA, DORA, NIS2, ISO 27001, and the EU AI Act. This role focuses on bridging the gap between regulatory requirements and practical implementation.

Responsibilities

• Support clients in implementing regulatory and cybersecurity requirements such as NIS2, DORA, eIDAS, and the EU AI Act, translating them into actionable day-to-day processes
• Develop analyses, concepts, and target operating models for emerging cybersecurity topics including digital identity management, AI security, and AI observability
• Lead projects or manage individual work packages and workstreams depending on professional experience level
• Assess existing structures, identify security gaps and risks, and develop concrete implementation plans
• Collaborate across client teams including IT, Business, and Compliance functions to create sustainable solutions
• Present complex technical and regulatory topics effectively to both expert and executive audiences
• Progress from individual work packages into sub-project and project leadership roles as experience grows
• Contribute to internal practice development, proposals, and thought leadership initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Degree in business administration, business informatics, engineering, mathematics, natural sciences, or comparable field with strong academic results
• Minimum two years of professional experience in a relevant environment, ideally in consulting or a strategic role
• Strong IT understanding with interest in developing expertise in new and complex topics; deep technical expertise is not required
• Structured working style with analytical thinking and ability to simplify complex topics for management audiences
• Confident communication skills across different stakeholder groups and formats
• Initiative, energy, willingness to learn, and strong team orientation
• Excellent German and English language skills (minimum C1 level in both languages)
• Located in or willing to relocate to München
