About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential cleantech organization that is building the future of renewable energy infrastructure. Our talent team is looking for a working student to join their community management function in Hamburg. This role offers hands-on experience managing social media communities and online reputation for a rapidly scaling organization in the energy transition space.

You'll be the voice behind their presence on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn—responding to comments, managing reviews, and helping shape how thousands of people experience the brand online. This is an excellent opportunity for a student who understands social platforms intuitively and wants real responsibility from day one.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to comments and messages across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn in a timely, on-brand manner
• Support operational review management: screen new reviews on Trustpilot and Google, report patterns, and help implement response strategies
• Conduct weekly monitoring of relevant YouTube content, tracking mentions and discussions, and providing structured reports to the team
• Drive organic engagement by actively commenting on newly published posts to boost reach and visibility
• Understand platform-specific algorithms and best practices—what works on LinkedIn differs from Instagram—and communicate accordingly
• Place valuable comments on external accounts where conversations about renewable energy, solar, heat pumps, and related topics are already happening
• Own a signature project: develop and test Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategies to ensure content is discoverable in AI-powered search results
• Bring ideas, test new content approaches, and help integrate GEO into ongoing content creation

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled at a German university with at least two semesters remaining in marketing, communications, media, business, or a comparable program
• Active social media user with an intuitive understanding of how Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn differ in tone, format, and audience
• Strong written German; English proficiency is a plus
• First experience in community or social media management is beneficial but not required—what matters most is your feel for language and people
• Familiarity with social media management tools like Agorapulse or similar platforms is helpful
• Basic understanding of SEO or GEO is a plus, but curiosity and willingness to learn and shape this area as a personal project is more important
• Genuine interest in the energy transition and making sustainability tangible every day
