About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential renewable energy technology company seeking a Working Student in Data Analytics with a focus on controlling and business intelligence. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience building data infrastructure that powers financial planning and strategic decision-making in a fast-growing organization.

You'll work 15-20 hours per week supporting the controlling and business intelligence teams while continuing your studies. This role is based in Hamburg with flexible remote options.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines to ensure availability of operational and financial data
• Support the controlling team with automated reports, forecast datasets, and KPI tracking
• Develop analyses, dashboards, and reports in Looker to monitor financial and operational performance
• Contribute to ensuring data integrity and reliability in finance-related datasets
• Assist with automation and optimization of reporting processes for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Explore and implement AI-supported data analysis to enhance forecasts, anomaly detection, and business insights

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled at a German university in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable program with data analytics focus, with at least two semesters remaining
• Available to work 15-20 hours per week
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, ideally also Git
• Initial experience working with larger datasets (e.g., data ingestion, transformation, or data modeling)
• Ideally, experience with BI tools such as Looker, Power BI, or Tableau
• First experiences with AI or machine learning (e.g., predictive modeling, forecasting, or using AI libraries/tools) are a significant plus
• Interest in finance, controlling, or business performance analysis is advantageous
• Strong communication skills and enjoy collaborating with team members and various stakeholders
• Proactive work approach and thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments
• Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken (C-level)
