Senior Operations Manager (f/m/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential fashion retail organization seeking a Senior Operations Manager to take end-to-end ownership of their operational infrastructure. Based in Munich, this role will oversee forecasting, production coordination, inbound logistics, inventory management, and cost control to ensure products move efficiently from manufacturing partners to warehouse and retail locations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Own demand forecasting and order management with production partners, driving new product launches through complete operational setup and system integration
• Plan cost-efficient inbound transportation and manage stock levels across warehouse and store network to meet availability targets and minimize stock-outs
• Oversee core fulfillment execution while continuously driving automation and quality improvements across order management, inventory, and logistics operations
• Monitor logistics costs against budget, validate supplier invoices, and maintain comprehensive operations KPI reporting
• Serve as the primary operational partner across Product, Customer Service, Finance, and external logistics partners to optimize warehouse and distribution processes
• Lead cross-functional projects aimed at continuous operational improvement
• Ensure reliable packaging material supply across all partner facilities and locations

What We're Looking For

• Several years of experience in operations, supply chain, or logistics management, ideally within fashion, e-commerce, or retail environments
• Proven track record of owning an operational function end-to-end, including inventory planning, demand forecasting, and cost/KPI frameworks
• Strong affinity for AI and automation tools with genuine drive to increase process efficiency
• Clear vision of what state-of-the-art operations setup and processes should look like
• True hands-on mentality — equally comfortable executing tasks as designing strategic processes
• Confident managing external partners and aligning cross-functional teams
• Experience with e-commerce and operations tools (e.g., Shopify, Notion, similar platforms)
• Structured, detail-oriented, and ownership-driven working style
• Fluent in English and German; Italian is a plus
• Full-time availability, based in or around Munich with remote-first working arrangement
