Senior Value Engineer

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential search and data platform organization seeking a Senior Value Engineer to support enterprise clients in Germany. In this remote role, you will work alongside high-performing account teams to drive measurable business outcomes for strategic customers.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Partnering with account teams to design and execute value delivery strategies for key enterprise accounts
• Engaging with C-level stakeholders to identify, understand, and quantify business challenges, translating technical capabilities into economic benefits aligned with corporate objectives
• Leading business value reviews and building compelling business cases that demonstrate realized value and ROI
• Analyzing customer workflows and processes to identify optimization opportunities and efficiency gains
• Creating and presenting boardroom-quality executive documentation
• Collaborating with product and engineering teams to tailor solutions for specific customer requirements
• Serving as a subject matter expert on solutions while staying current on industry trends
• Conducting training and workshops to elevate team discovery skills and value-based selling expertise
• Contributing to the development of best practices and tools for value engineering methodologies

What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate brings proven experience in customer-facing roles where business value and outcomes drive the conversation. We need someone who can speak both the language of technology and the language of executive decision-makers.

Required qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in value engineering, management consulting, solution architecture, or related customer-facing roles within software or consulting industries
• Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with value-based-selling methodologies
• Demonstrated track record building and presenting business cases to executive stakeholders
• Interest in the technical aspects of enterprise software from a CTO perspective (systems, processes, people)
• Expertise in identifying and prioritizing use cases, implementing improvement measures, and acting as a change agent through value delivery models
• Strong project management skills across multiple workstreams, including scope definition, timeline management, and delivery
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with comfort operating in ambiguous situations
• Based in Germany with business-fluent German and English language skills
• Ability to travel approximately twice per month to meet with clients

Bonus qualifications:

• Experience with cloud infrastructure software in Data+AI, Observability, or Security domains

Pay

This position offers compensation in the form of base salary plus variable component (75/25 split). Pay information will be discussed during the screening process based on your experience level and the specific requirements of the role.
