Seabird Island Band is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our health services team in Harrison Hot Springs, Fraser Valley. What This Role Involves

As Clinical Nurse Specialist with Seabird Island Band, you'll lead clinical excellence and nursing professional development across our health services. This role combines direct clinical practice with educational leadership, enabling you to mentor nursing staff, guide practice improvements, and ensure our teams deliver compassionate, culturally safe care to our community. Based in Harrison Hot Springs, you'll work within our integrated health services to bridge clinical standards and community healthcare needs.

Your Responsibilities

  • Mentor and provide clinical supervision to nursing and healthcare staff, fostering professional growth and confidence
  • Deliver clinical teaching and skills development programmes to strengthen team capabilities
  • Provide practice consultation on complex clinical cases and nursing care standards
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary health teams to embed evidence-based practice and quality improvements
  • Support the development and implementation of culturally safe nursing protocols and care standards
  • Contribute to nursing recruitment, orientation, and retention initiatives
  • Model professional nursing practice and maintain clinical currency in your practice area

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with a current, active nursing licence in British Columbia
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience, including demonstrated leadership or specialist practice
  • Commitment to cultural safety and experience working with First Nations or Indigenous communities preferred
  • Strong mentoring and teaching abilities with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation as needed for the role
