Conversion Specialist

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential fintech organization in their search for a Conversion Specialist. This role is critical to ensuring smooth customer transitions from legacy systems to modern platforms, combining data migration expertise with customer-facing project coordination.

You'll serve as the primary operational stakeholder during the conversion lifecycle, preparing datasets, executing migrations, and ensuring accuracy while minimizing disruption to client operations. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, project management capabilities, and database framework skills to deliver high-quality conversions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain adherence to conversion work plans, timelines, checklists, and readiness assessments
• Collaborate with implementation teams to ensure conversions meet milestones and target dates
• Manage multiple conversions simultaneously while meeting quality and deadline expectations
• Develop and publish master Conversion QC Checklists
• Analyze legacy customer data and identify quality issues prior to conversion
• Prepare, validate, and reconcile migration datasets using conversion tools, minimizing manual manipulation
• Execute test conversions and evaluate results for completeness and accuracy
• Document exceptions, anomalies, and remediation activities for the conversion team
• Participate in implementation interviews with customers and gather operational requirements
• Document conversion customizations and provide detailed training notes to implementation specialists
• Perform pre-conversion readiness reviews and post-conversion quality control

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, Operations, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in software implementation, client onboarding, data conversion, operations, project coordination, or customer-facing project management
• Experience with large-scale data migration and conversion processes, including data mapping, validation, reconciliation, and conversion testing
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 applications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience supporting financial services, banking, accounting, fintech, SaaS implementations, or software deployment projects preferred
• Familiarity with SQL, reporting tools, and data analysis platforms preferred

Pay
