Accountant

Responsibilities

We are representing a fast-growing health technology organization seeking a detail-oriented accountant to lead their monthly closing production and drive process improvement across multiple legal entities.

In this role, you will own the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing cycles, ensuring every number is accurate, timely, and reliable. You'll push pre-formatted journal entries into NetSuite, maintain completeness and accuracy, and consistently deliver on schedule (target: day 5 of each month).

You will perform thorough first-level reviews of bGet A Job.aice sheet and P&L accounts at each close, identifying unusual movements, resolving discrepancies, and building robust verification processes and control procedures. Daily account and bank reconciliations across all bGet A Job.aice sheet accounts and entities will be part of your core routine.

A key aspect of this position is serving as a bridge between business operations and finance—translating new business streams and P&L lines into proper accounting treatment, and collaborating with data teams to automate manual tasks and reduce closing friction over time.

You will also prepare and file VAT returns, URSSAF declarations, and other statutory filings accurately and on time, coordinating with external advisors as needed.

What We're Looking For

Our client requires 4 to 6 years of accounting experience, either from an accounting firm or in-house at a fast-paced startup or scale-up environment. Full fluency in both French and English is mandatory.

You must have a deep command of French accounting standards, including VAT rules, URSSAF declarations, bank reconciliation, general ledger management, and month-end close processes. Proven ability to own a closing cycle end-to-end and resolve issues independently is essential.

Hands-on experience with an ERP is required; NetSuite experience is a strong plus. You should be comfortable with spreadsheets (Google Sheets or Excel), and familiarity with modern accounting tools such as Pennylane or Payflows is advantageous.

Beyond technical skills, we're looking for someone who is reliable and detail-oriented—someone who delivers on time, every time, and maintains a clean audit trail. You should be autonomous and self-directed, managing priorities and making decisions independently without waiting to be told what to do next.

A process-driven mindset is critical: you naturally question how things are done and propose concrete improvements. You're curious about automation and tooling, comfortable working in a data-driven environment, and you communicate clearly—knowing when to move independently and when to escalate.

This position is based in Paris, France, with remote work flexibility available. You must be legally eligible to work in France.
