About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a Senior Front End Engineer I for their London office. This role sits at the intersection of product development and technical execution, where you'll lead UI implementation within a cross-functional team and deliver exceptional digital experiences for enterprise merchants.
We're looking for engineers who combine deep technical expertise in modern front-end technologies with the leadership ability to drive projects from conception through deployment. You'll work in a hybrid environment, collaborating closely with product and design partners to build scalable, secure solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead UI implementation across product surfaces, ensuring optimal user experience at all frontend touchpoints
- Architect and build complex applications using React and TypeScript
- Drive technical best practices and mentor team members on front-end development standards
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions with a strong security focus
- Manage project priorities and deadlines while ensuring high-quality deliverables
- Collaborate with design and backend engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle
- Build reliable, accessible, and well-tested systems that serve global users
- Lead technical initiatives and guide team delivery
- Participate in continuous integration and deployment workflows
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Comprehensive skills in React and TypeScript, with the ability to architect complex applications
- Extensive experience in software development, design, and architecture
- Strong focus on security throughout the development process
- Proven experience collaborating with both design and backend engineering teams
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment workflows
- Cloud-based application development experience
- Strong customer focus and commitment to building accessible applications with excellent UX
- Track record leading technical initiatives and guiding team delivery
- Experience building reliable, accessible, and well-tested systems
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
Desirable:
- Experience with C#
- Understanding of common security vulnerabilities and performance issues in web applications
- Experience with asynchronous, event-driven architecture
- Database experience with NoSQL, ElasticSearch, or similar technologies
