Cloud Solutions Architect – Alliances

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential open source technology organization in their search for a Cloud Solutions Architect - Alliances. This role partners with major technology companies, hardware manufacturers, global system integrators, and public cloud providers to architect and promote enterprise-grade open source solutions.

Our client operates as a fully distributed organization with team members worldwide. This is a remote position open to candidates anywhere globally.

Responsibilities

• Design cloud infrastructure solutions including Kubernetes, OpenStack, Ceph, and data platforms for on-premises and public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Architect integrations with popular open source technologies such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, Cassandra, and NGINX
• Collaborate with alliance partners to develop joint solutions utilizing the client's technology stack
• Design and publish joint Reference Architectures and perform technical validations with partner organizations
• Deliver onboarding sessions and workshops to partner teams, promoting product adoption and technical enablement
• Support OEM, GSI, ISV, channel, and public cloud alliance partners from a technical solutions standpoint
• Provide expert guidance on open source stack implementations from kernel to cloud infrastructure

What We're Looking For

• Extensive experience with Linux, Kubernetes, Ceph, and software automation
• Proven track record designing and implementing solutions on public or private cloud platforms
• Strong Python and bash scripting capabilities with excellent troubleshooting skills
• Fluent written and spoken English with outstanding communication and presentation abilities
• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent technical field experience
• High motivation with ability to multi-task and reliably follow through on commitments
• Customer-facing experience including solution pitching, demonstrations, and needs assessment
• Interest in emerging technologies and cloud-native development
• Ability to travel globally up to 30% of the time
• Ubuntu experience strongly preferred
