Confirmed Backend Engineer – Care

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential mobility technology company seeking a Confirmed Backend Engineer to join their Care team in Paris, France. This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days per week in the office.

As part of the Corporate Services pillar, you'll empower internal teams with comprehensive tools to maintain a 360-degree view of user journeys across the platform. Your primary focus will be building a new, unified back-office system that aggregates data across multiple service lines while providing critical user management and content moderation capabilities.

You'll work within a multi-stack team of backend and frontend engineers, collaborating closely with community relations specialists and product managers to define requirements and ensure seamless integration across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve back-office services for internal operations teams
• Maintain strategic user-facing features including claim management and reporting systems
• Take full ownership of substantial features from technical design through deployment and monitoring
• Collaborate with Product Managers and engineers to translate business needs into robust technical solutions
• Uphold code quality standards and provide mentorship through detailed code reviews
• Document solutions and ensure APIs and services are well understood by consumer teams

What We're Looking For

• Solid experience from companies with strong engineering cultures, ideally within growth contexts
• Strong knowledge of Java language and ecosystem with good foundations in software architecture
• Hands-on experience with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and monitoring solutions such as Datadog
• Significant experience building, deploying, and operating backend microservices in production environments
• Product-oriented mindset focused on delivering business impact when designing software
• Comfort making technical choices and balancing business needs with technical constraints
