Working Student HR & People Operations (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential deep-tech organization in Munich that is scaling operations across Europe. Our client is looking for a Working Student in HR & People Operations to take ownership of core employee lifecycle processes during a critical growth phase.

This is not an administrative support role. You will own recurring HR processes end-to-end, working directly with senior leadership to build systems that support a high-performance team. From day one, you'll have real responsibility for onboarding, HRIS management, recruiting coordination, and internal programming.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete operational employee lifecycle: prepare contracts and documentation, coordinate equipment and system access, run structured onboarding experiences, and manage clean offboarding processes
• Maintain the HR system (Personio) as the single source of truth for employee data, absences, digital personnel files, and documentation quality
• Support recruiting operations: draft and publish job advertisements, maintain applicant tracking systems, coordinate interview scheduling, and ensure timely candidate communication
• Organize candidate assessment days end-to-end, including invitations, agendas, materials, interviewer coordination, and on-site logistics
• Plan and execute internal team events and company offsites
• Build and administer the people development budget process from the ground up: track requests and spending, support colleagues in identifying relevant training, and maintain transparency
• Support the rollout of company-wide performance review cycles by building templates, timelines, tooling, and driving internal communication

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled student (Bachelor or Master level) available approximately 16 hours per week during semester, with flexibility for more hours during breaks
• Commitment of at least 12 months preferred
• Field of study is open—business, psychology, law, or other disciplines welcome; what matters is genuine interest in how organizations function
• Some practical experience in HR, recruiting, or operations, ideally in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional attention to detail—you catch missing signatures, incorrect dates, and incomplete data before they become problems
• Natural discretion when handling confidential contract and personnel information
• Process-improvement mindset: you prefer to fix a process rather than repeat manual work, and you're comfortable with HR technology (Personio, ATS platforms, collaboration tools)
• Self-directed work style: you structure your own week, recognize when decisions are needed, and maintain process integrity
• German language proficiency at C1 level or above is required for this role
• Located in or willing to relocate to Munich; this role is primarily office-based in the Werksviertel area with some remote flexibility depending on tasks
