Enterprise Solutions Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization seeking an Enterprise Solutions Engineer to join their growing team in Berlin. This is a critical technical role within the enterprise sales motion, where you'll serve as the technical authority throughout complex deal cycles.

Working closely with Account Executives, you'll own the pre-sales technical process from discovery through proof-of-concept, ensuring prospects understand exactly how the platform addresses their operational, security, and compliance requirements. You'll be the trusted technical advisor for large, multi-site organizations evaluating enterprise software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive technical discovery sessions with enterprise prospects to understand current infrastructure, data architectures, and workflow challenges
• Design and build customized demonstration environments that reflect prospect-specific terminology, organizational structures, and use cases
• Execute scoped proof-of-concept deployments to validate security posture, performance benchmarks, and functional requirements
• Own technical responses to RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires, addressing encryption standards, GDPR compliance, hosting infrastructure, and API capabilities
• Secure technical sign-off from IT, security, and data protection stakeholders, ensuring all technical requirements are documented and validated
• Create detailed technical handover documentation for implementation teams, ensuring alignment between what was sold and what will be delivered
• Maintain technical integrity throughout the sales cycle, providing honest assessments and surfacing limitations early when appropriate

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience in pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical sales roles supporting enterprise B2B deals
• Strong technical discovery capabilities with the ability to analyze infrastructure, data systems, and business processes to identify underlying problems
• Hands-on experience building tailored product demonstrations and managing proof-of-concept deployments
• Working knowledge of security, data protection, and compliance frameworks including encryption standards, GDPR requirements, hosting models, and API governance
• Proven ability to engage credibly with IT, security, and compliance stakeholders at enterprise organizations
• Excellent documentation and communication skills with a commitment to accuracy and transparency
• Fluency in both German and English (spoken and written)
• Based in Berlin or willing to relocate for on-site collaboration
