Maintenance Technician (m/f/d) part time | ideal alongside your studies

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential GreenTech startup in Hamburg that is developing innovative renewable energy infrastructure. Our talent team is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a part-time role (20-30 hours per week) that offers exceptional flexibility—ideal for combining with university studies or other commitments.

This is not a standard maintenance position. You'll work with pioneering technology in active operation, taking responsibility for technical systems while actively shaping maintenance processes and service structures from the ground up. Your hands-on experience will directly influence how operations evolve as this technology scales.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular maintenance and inspections across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components of the renewable energy system
• Monitor and maintain hydraulic oil and other critical system elements
• Analyze technical issues, troubleshoot faults, and document solutions with underlying root causes
• Develop and continuously improve maintenance schedules, spare parts lists, and technical service documentation
• Manage on-site spare parts inventory in a structured and reliable manner
• Work flexible hours including occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends to align with optimal maintenance windows

What We're Looking For

• Technical background in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, energy technology, or comparable technical qualification
• Practical experience in mechanical maintenance and repair of technical systems or machinery
• Solid understanding of hydraulic systems with ability to independently identify and resolve technical issues
• Availability for 20-30 hours per week with scheduling flexibility
• Self-motivated and solution-oriented approach to technical problem-solving
• Comfortable working directly with technical equipment, outdoors, and in active traffic or logistics environments
• Ability to read technical drawings, hydraulic schematics, and electrical circuit diagrams (advantageous)
• Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work independently
