Senior Fraud & Risk Analyst (f/m/x)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing mobile gaming organization headquartered in Hamburg. Our client operates at significant scale in the rewarded user acquisition space and is building out their fraud prevention capabilities to protect both their platform and their users. This is a strategic hire that combines analytical depth with operational ownership.

As a Senior Fraud & Risk Analyst, you'll work closely with the existing fraud analytics leadership while taking ownership of critical detection, mitigation, and process improvement initiatives. This role suits someone who has seen fraud programs at different stages of maturity and can move quickly in a high-velocity environment.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and mitigate fraud across user acquisition, transactions, and account activity, with particular focus on reward-based and incentivized channels including offerwalls, referral programs, and cashback mechanics
• Design, refine, and monitor fraud detection rules, heuristics, and dashboards to identify emerging abuse patterns
• Support the Fraud Analytics Team Lead on strategic risk initiatives, contributing analysis, recommendations, and execution
• Act as a trusted deputy on risk management matters, able to step in for the Team Lead on projects, stakeholder updates, and urgent decisions
• Partner cross-functionally with product, engineering, data, and support teams to close fraud gaps and improve detection systems
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, quantify fraud exposure, and deliver findings and recommendations to leadership
• Document policies, playbooks, and standard operating procedures for fraud and risk workflows

What We're Looking For

• Relevant experience in fraud management or risk analysis, ideally with exposure to both large corporate environments and fast-moving scale-ups
• Direct experience with reward-based user acquisition fraud (offerwalls, referral abuse, incentivized installs, multi-accounting, device farms) strongly preferred
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL and working with large datasets to investigate patterns and validate hypotheses
• Demonstrated ability to operate with ownership—comfortable proposing and driving initiatives independently
• Experience contributing to risk and fraud strategy, including A/B testing, impact analysis, and stress testing
• Experience supporting or deputizing for a manager or Team Lead, with sound judgment on when to escalate versus decide independently
• Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical fraud findings into clear recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Familiarity with fraud detection tooling and risk management frameworks
• Nice to have: background in policy design or risk governance frameworks; certifications such as CFE, CFCS, CAMS, CRISC, CFA, or FRM; working knowledge of GDPR, PSD2/SCA, AML/KYC principles, or PCI-DSS

Location & Work Arrangement

This position is based in Hamburg, Germany, and follows a hybrid model: work from home on Mondays and Fridays, in-office Tuesday through Thursday. This is not a remote-only role.
