Senior Cloud Consultant – Data & AI Engineer (f/m/d, 4-Days-Week), German Speaking

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AWS consulting partner based in München, seeking a Senior Cloud Consultant specializing in Data & AI Engineering. This German-speaking role offers a unique 4-day work week structure while delivering end-to-end cloud solutions for enterprise clients.

As part of our talent team at Get A Job.ai, we're looking for an experienced cloud architect who can design and implement scalable data platforms and generative AI solutions. You'll take ownership of technical delivery from initial architecture workshops through production deployment, while helping shape a growing Data & AI practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of scalable AWS architectures for data platforms and generative AI/agentic AI solutions
• Ensure security, performance, reliability, and cost efficiency aligned with AWS Well-Architected Framework
• Make and document architectural decisions and trade-offs that enable teams to build upon them
• Translate business requirements into measurable technical specifications and clear objectives
• Develop generative AI and agentic AI solutions using AWS Bedrock and related frameworks
• Build agent architectures with tool integration, multi-step orchestration, and defined scope boundaries
• Implement human-in-the-loop patterns including approval workflows and review cycles
• Establish evaluation and quality assurance processes for LLM and agent systems
• Participate in technical pre-sales activities, project scoping, and statement of work preparation
• Serve as trusted technical advisor for clients, translating complex technology into business value
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to internal standards and best practices

What We're Looking For

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 5+ years in cloud, data, software, or ML engineering, with 2+ years owning end-to-end architectures
• Strong hands-on expertise with AWS services and solutions
• Solid experience in data engineering and ETL architecture design
• Proven experience delivering generative AI and agentic AI projects
• Advanced Python programming skills
• Fluent English and professional-level German language skills

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• AWS certifications
• Experience in pre-sales or technical leadership roles
• Background in consulting or customer-facing project delivery
• Familiarity with AWS Connect
• Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform or similar)
• LLM customization, fine-tuning, and distillation expertise
• Practical MLOps experience including model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management
• Experience with Kafka or streaming technologies

Pay

Compensation details will be discussed during the screening process and are dependent on experience level. The package includes a base salary plus performance-based variable component.
