Senior GenAI Solution Engineer (all genders)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential technology consultancy serving enterprise clients across Europe. Our talent team is searching for a Senior GenAI Solution Engineer to join their growing practice in Hamburg, München, Düsseldorf, or fully remote within Germany.

This role sits at the intersection of advanced AI engineering and client delivery. You will architect production-ready GenAI systems—from rapid prototyping through scalable deployment—while working directly with stakeholders to translate complex AI capabilities into measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Drive AI solutions across the full lifecycle: prototyping, proof-of-concept validation, and deployment into highly available production environments
• Build robust Python backend services that integrate state-of-the-art LLMs and handle production workloads reliably
• Design and implement autonomous agent systems with tool calling, memory management, and safety guardrails to automate real-world workflows
• Embed AI agents into the software development lifecycle—AI-assisted coding, automated testing, code reviews, and intelligent documentation
• Own code quality through clean architecture, automated testing, and efficient CI/CD pipelines
• Implement evaluation frameworks to measure GenAI performance (accuracy, latency, cost) and drive continuous optimization
• Facilitate client workshops, present technical findings, and act as a sparring partner for business and management stakeholders
• Assess technical feasibility and guide clients from innovative ideas to sustainable, production-ready products

What We're Looking For

• Production-grade Python expertise: API development (FastAPI, Pydantic), containerization (Docker), automated testing (unit and integration), Git, and CI/CD—well beyond notebook scripting
• Strong architectural skills: SOLID principles, Clean Architecture, dependency injection, async/concurrency patterns, and ORMs (SQLAlchemy) for database interactions
• Hands-on LLM experience: Proficiency with multimodal models (OpenAI, Anthropic) and cloud platforms (Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock)
• Advanced GenAI techniques: Prompt engineering, structured outputs (JSON), and tool/function calling
• End-to-end RAG expertise: Full pipeline development from embeddings and vector databases (pgvector) to retrieval, re-ranking, and evaluation
• Agent development: Experience designing autonomous systems (e.g., Pydantic AI) with memory and guardrails
• Consulting experience: Direct client engagement, workshop facilitation, and navigating complex stakeholder environments
• Languages: Fluent German (C1) and professional English
• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field
• Travel: Willingness to work on-site at client premises regularly
