Manager SAP EWM – Logistics / Supply Chain (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential management consulting organization in their search for an experienced SAP EWM Manager to lead logistics and supply chain transformation projects. This role offers the opportunity to work across Hamburg, München, Düsseldorf, or remotely, guiding clients through complex warehouse management system implementations from a business perspective.

As the functional project lead, you will take end-to-end responsibility for SAP EWM initiatives, ensuring that operational requirements drive solution design. You'll serve as the critical bridge between logistics operations, IT teams, and implementation partners, representing business interests throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall functional management of SAP EWM projects including implementation, roll-out, optimization, and migration from SAP WM to SAP EWM from a logistics and supply chain perspective
• Define functional objectives, requirements, and success criteria for warehouse and intralogistics processes in collaboration with clients
• Coordinate and guide functional key users, process owners, and internal EWM experts on the client side
• Manage external SAP implementation partners, developers, and technical service providers from a functional standpoint, defining requirements, priorities, and acceptance criteria
• Oversee functional test management including test design, UAT, sign-off, cutover planning, and hypercare phase support
• Establish project governance including decision-making processes, escalation paths, status reporting, and change management
• Drive change communication, training, and employee enablement to ensure sustainable business capability post-implementation

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of experience in management consulting or industry roles focused on logistics, intralogistics, or supply chain, ideally with responsibility for warehouse, distribution, or production logistics
• University degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or comparable qualification
• Strong understanding of warehouse and intralogistics processes including goods receipt, storage, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, inventory, and returns, plus their interfaces with production, sales, and quality management
• Experience leading or playing a key role in digitalization or SAP projects, ideally with SAP EWM and/or SAP S/4HANA focus
• Practical understanding of SAP EWM and related logistics modules (MM, SD, PP, QM, and where applicable TM), without requiring deep technical customizing expertise
• Proven expertise in requirements management, process design, test management, change management, and stakeholder management
• Experience managing external SAP implementation partners and interdisciplinary teams
• Structured, solution-oriented, and dependable working style with assertiveness, diplomatic skills, and hands-on mindset
• Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
