Graduate Electronics & Software Engineer (2026 start)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential engineering consultancy seeking graduate-level electronics and software engineers for a 2026 start date. Working with substantial mentorship and peer support, you will contribute to multi-disciplinary client projects across consumer devices, industrial systems, and defence sectors.

Your day-to-day work will include:

• Design and implementation of embedded systems for diverse applications and products
• Writing software in C for embedded targets and SystemVerilog for FPGAs
• PCB design and hardware testing
• Developing technical skills across analogue and digital hardware, information engineering, embedded software, control systems, and communications
• Working on one or more projects simultaneously in various technical disciplines
• Direct client interaction throughout project phases, from requirements capture through to final handover

What We're Looking For

Our client seeks recent or upcoming STEM graduates who demonstrate:

• An excellent degree or PhD in general, electrical, electronic or information engineering, computer science, or physics
• Practical experience (through university, work, or personal projects) in at least one of the following areas:
  • PCB design
  • Digital electronics (processors, memory, DSP, Verilog, VHDL)
  • Analogue electronics (general, interfaces, RF, power)
  • Software implementation in C, C++, Rust, or similar programming languages
• Enthusiasm for learning across multiple technical disciplines
• Evidence of rigorous problem-solving approaches
• Strong eagerness to tackle diverse technical challenges

Security Requirements: This role requires UK Security Check level clearance. You must be able to work in the UK without restrictions in accordance with UK National Law and successfully undertake UK National Security Vetting.
