Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to own and solve electronics aspects of complex technical challenges
• Deliver robust digital electronics designs as a trusted technical specialist
• Design high-performance digital systems involving application processors, FPGAs, and SoCs
• Work on general-purpose electronics design alongside specialized digital design projects
• Perform schematic entry and PCB layout using professional ECAD tools
• Design low-noise DC switched-mode power supplies to support digital systems
• Conduct board bring-up, testing, and debugging using Linux, Python, and HDL
• Apply signal integrity analysis and EMC design principles to high-speed designs
• Interface directly with clients to understand requirements and present technical solutions
• Develop expertise in advanced tools and methodologies through comprehensive internal training

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements:

• Strong academic background with an electronics-related undergraduate degree
• Prior commercial work experience in electronics engineering
• Solid understanding of electronic circuit design fundamentals
• Proven ability to select and specify high-performance devices including application processors, FPGAs, and SoCs based on system requirements such as data throughput and power consumption
• Familiarity with embedded interconnects including DDR4, QSPI, PCIe, and JESD204
• Experience designing low-noise DC switched-mode power supplies
• Knowledge of EMC design principles, testing, and debugging techniques
• Proficiency with ECAD tools such as Altium Designer for schematic entry and layout
• Basic understanding of Linux, Python, and HDL for board bring-up and debug purposes
• Excellent communication skills and genuine passion for engineering
• Eligibility for UK security clearance (required due to the nature of certain projects)

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with signal integrity tools such as HyperLynx
• Hardware design expertise with AMD or Xilinx FPGAs
• Client-facing experience (training and development support available for those without)
