Technical Product Manager

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential trading firm seeking a highly-driven Technical Product Manager to provide organisation and coordination support for engineering initiatives in their London office.

In this role, you will lead projects through their entire lifecycle, drawing from your technical background daily. You'll define goals, develop timelines, track milestones, manage developer time, identify risks, and coordinate with related teams. Communication will be central to your work as you provide project schedules, priorities, and status updates across the organisation.

You'll collaborate with developers, business teams, operations, support, and external financial entities to ensure each project is delivered on time and meets or exceeds stated goals. The environment is flexible and encourages creative problem-solving when developing processes and tools. Strategic thinking will be essential as you consider group and project goals in your approach.

This position sits within the technology group that designs, deploys, and supports infrastructure underpinning trading activities. You'll gain insight into a broad cross-section of the global market as you work to improve these systems. Success requires enjoying independent work on small teams, learning on the fly, and making decisions with real and immediate impact.

The role exists on a spectrum between Product Manager and Program Manager, depending on the team, circumstances, and challenges at hand. You'll need to be comfortable with ambiguity and ready to bring whatever relevant skills are needed—whether large-scale program management, product vision, business context, or technical depth.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or other technical field preferred, or equivalent technical knowledge gained through industry experience
• Experience working directly with engineering teams
• Experience managing software development projects
• Proficiency with project management planning tools such as Jira and spreadsheets
• Ability to describe detailed problems with brevity and accuracy
• Proven ability to handle competing priorities and work effectively in challenging, fast-paced environments
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
• Fluency in English required
