New Business Director

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential global production organization in their search for a New Business Director based in London, United Kingdom. This is a senior strategic role reporting to the Global Chief Growth Officer, with responsibility for shaping high-value opportunities, driving client relationships, and building a scalable growth engine across international markets.

This position operates at the intersection of production, creative technology, and integrated marketing solutions, requiring someone who can lead complex pitches, craft compelling narratives, and act as a trusted advisor to senior clients. You will be part of the Senior Leadership Team, working in a hybrid environment with approximately four days per week in the office.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead strategic direction for priority, high-value new business opportunities with clear differentiation
• Own narrative quality and strategic standards across assigned pitches, setting the benchmark for articulating value
• Design end-to-end client solutions including operating models, pricing approaches, and value propositions
• Partner with senior leadership to define and execute global growth strategy, identifying priority markets and opportunity types
• Drive organic growth within existing accounts, cross-selling the full breadth of production capabilities
• Act as trusted advisor to senior clients, providing strategic insights that align production strategy with business objectives
• Build and scale repeatable growth frameworks, playbooks, and tools enabling teams globally to win consistently
• Step into critical opportunities as "pitch doctor" to strengthen narrative, structure, and response quality
• Present and represent the organization in senior client and pitch meetings
• Drive cross-functional integration across media, creative, production, and technology disciplines
• Partner with Commercial and Finance teams on P&Ls, budgets, forecasting, and profit optimization
• Develop team capability through coaching, mentoring, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning
• Lead innovation in growth processes, exploring AI and emerging technologies to enhance efficiency

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of experience in new business, growth, client leadership, or strategy roles within creative, production, or agency environments
• Exceptional strategic thinking with proven ability to define how complex opportunities are approached and won
• Outstanding writing and storytelling skills, with experience leading narrative development for high-value, multi-disciplinary pitches
• Demonstrated success leading large, complex pitch processes involving multiple stakeholders and disciplines
• Expert client relationship management in matrix environments, with track record of improving client satisfaction
• Confident communicator experienced presenting to senior clients and influencing at leadership level
• Ability to manage multiple high-stakes opportunities simultaneously at pace and under pressure
• Strong understanding of integrated marketing ecosystems including media, creative, technology, and production
• Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with ability to bring structure and clarity
• Proactive, solutions-driven mindset with strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Experience developing and mentoring team members to build capability and scale impact
• Curious and forward-thinking, with interest in innovation, AI, and the future of content production
