About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential visual effects and creative technology organization seeking a Senior Software Developer to join their award-winning technology team. This is a remote role with occasional in-person collaboration at their London studio. Please note: visa sponsorship and relocation are not available for this position.

You'll work on cutting-edge cloud-based AI and data pipeline solutions, building services that integrate with existing production workflows and asset management systems. This role offers significant technical autonomy and the opportunity to shape next-generation tools for modern media production.

Responsibilities

• Develop modern pipelines and services for AI-driven media workflows, extending existing production infrastructure
• Build and ship secure, scalable Python services using GCP cloud infrastructure with frequent deployment cycles
• Design robust data solutions for versioning, tracking, and observability of pipeline data
• Collaborate with pipeline teams, artists, and machine learning departments to deliver impactful features
• Implement comprehensive metrics and security measures for all services
• Champion agile methodologies including code review, continuous delivery, and test-driven development
• Mentor team members in AI techniques and modern development best practices
• Explore AI-assisted approaches to code and media generation where appropriate

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Proven experience building data and workflow solutions, ideally in creative production pipelines or similar technical environments
• Strong background in web and service development, specifically Python backend systems
• Deep understanding of agile software development practices: continuous delivery, code review, and TDD
• Ability to problem-solve independently and write high-quality code without over-reliance on AI tools
• Excellent communication skills and a mentorship mindset
• Proactive approach to personal and team growth

Preferred experience:

• Building backend systems that integrate with AI agents and observability platforms
• VFX or animation pipeline development
• Digital asset management systems
• Deploying services to cloud platforms such as GCP
