Senior Data Scientist (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential technology consulting firm seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead the development and implementation of advanced data models and algorithms for client-specific solutions. In this role, you will:

• Lead the identification and analysis of complex business problems within an analytical framework
• Work on high-impact projects involving large-scale datasets
• Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders to define project scope and objectives
• Design, develop, and manage the architecture of complex data pipelines and dashboards
• Contribute to a variety of data-related components including data platforms, dashboards, and machine learning products
• Make strategic decisions regarding technology stacks and methodologies
• Mentor junior and mid-level data scientists
• Drive innovation and technical development while improving data science processes and methods across the team

What We're Looking For

• University degree with a quantitative or business background (Computer Science, Business Informatics, Business Mathematics, Economics, or related field)
• Deep understanding of advanced machine learning techniques and their production applications including NLP, recommender systems, time series analysis, and computer vision
• Extensive experience in data science, data management, or production system development
• Strong proficiency in Python, R, Rust, PySpark, or SQL
• Solid experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure
• Expertise across various technology stacks (Azure, AWS, GCP, DBX, ELK, Spark, Databricks, etc.)
• Strong data visualization and storytelling capabilities
• Knowledge of data governance and compliance
• Fluency in both German and English
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to clearly and convincingly present technical concepts
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
