Senior Go Engineer, Full Stack

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization headquartered in Berlin with a distributed engineering team across Europe. They are seeking a Senior Go Engineer, Full Stack to join their product development team. This is a unique opportunity to work with an experienced, collaborative team that values impact and continuous learning.

The ideal candidate will be deeply skilled in Go backend development while being comfortable working across the full stack when features require it. You'll architect solutions from database to browser, with your primary focus on backend APIs, data models, and system design, while contributing to the React/TypeScript frontend as needed.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build features across the full stack, with primary focus on Go backend services and APIs
• Design and implement scalable backend microservices and maintain high code quality standards
• Create clean, well-documented APIs and ensure seamless integration with frontend systems
• Contribute to React/TypeScript frontend development when features require full-stack ownership
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to transform requirements into polished, production-ready features
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control best practices
• Leverage AI coding tools effectively while maintaining full ownership of production code quality
• Participate in technical decision-making and help shape the engineering team's direction

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience in production environments
• 2+ years of proven Go experience in production, with deep expertise in backend architecture and API design
• Strong system design skills and experience building high-scale web applications
• Willingness and motivation to work in React/TypeScript frontend when needed (prior hands-on experience is a plus but not required)
• DevOps mindset with experience in CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment workflows
• Ability to own the full lifecycle of features from database to UI
• Experience collaborating with product and design stakeholders
• Fluent English communication skills, with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Comfortable working in a distributed team environment (within +/- 1 hour of CET timezone)
