Founding Product Lead – GeneEase

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential biotech startup building AI-powered precision diagnostic and personalization platforms. This is a founding-level Product Lead role based in Egypt or Turkey, offering the chance to co-create a company at the intersection of genomics, machine learning, and personalized medicine from the ground up.

Our client is tackling health conditions that traditional diagnostics overlook—using gene-based therapies and AI to serve patients who are ready to benefit from cutting-edge science. You'll go from whiteboard to MVP and beyond, making core decisions on product architecture, direction, and culture from day one.

Responsibilities

• Define the product vision for early diagnostic and personalization tools, including user flows and scientific logic
• Lead product discovery: validate hypotheses with patients, clinicians, scientists, and data partners
• Partner with engineers and researchers to build AI-driven prototypes (diagnostic and personalization engines)
• Translate genomic and pathway research into actionable product specifications and real-world use cases
• Coordinate with external labs, scientists, and data providers to power AI models
• Shape data strategy (privacy, ethics, structure), regulatory direction, and go-to-market experiments
• Make foundational decisions on product architecture and company culture as a core founding team member

What We're Looking For

• 5–10 years of experience in product management, technical founding, or leading early-stage product at startups
• Proven track record building and launching AI-driven or healthcare platforms from zero to one
• Systems thinking: ability to connect patient experience, data pipelines, science, ethics, and product seamlessly
• Capacity to turn ambiguity into action—backed by timelines, specs, and aligned cross-functional teams
• Fluency communicating with AI engineers, scientists, and end users in the same day
• Genuine excitement to build a category-defining company, not just execute a roadmap

Bonus qualifications:

• Background in biotech, systems biology, genomics, or AI in healthcare
• Experience with healthcare data (genomic, EHR, clinical trial, phenotypic)
• Previously a founder, first PM, or early team member in a high-ambiguity startup
• Experience collaborating with academic researchers, clinical labs, or regulatory advisors
• Familiarity with IRB, HIPAA, GxP, or AI/ethics frameworks in healthcare
