Junior Cyber Security Consultant (m/f/x)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential cyber security organization in their search for a Junior Cyber Security Consultant to join their service delivery team in Berlin. This is a hybrid role offering structured early-career development in a fast-growing European security practice.

Our client combines advanced security technology with hands-on consulting to help small and medium-sized enterprises strengthen their cyber defenses. You'll work at the intersection of product, operations, and client relationships, developing expertise across multiple aspects of cyber security while supporting real organizations through their security journey.

Responsibilities

• Guide new clients through security onboarding processes, supporting implementation of endpoint detection, cloud monitoring, and other protective controls
• Assess client security questions and concerns, determining appropriate resources and solutions
• Deliver periodic security reviews with tailored recommendations, helping clients prioritize security measures
• Collaborate with technical specialists, product teams, customer success, engineering, and security operations to resolve client challenges
• Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and client engagement approaches
• Support second-line technical challenges alongside first-line support and specialist teams
• Take ownership of well-defined deliverables while learning from experienced colleagues

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Strong interest in cyber security (formal qualifications helpful but not mandatory)
• Basic understanding of small to medium-sized IT networks and Active Directory
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, initiative-driven attitude
• Ability to work effectively with clients in an advisory capacity, explaining security concepts clearly
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Curiosity and willingness to learn across different security domains
• Fluency in German and English required

Preferred:

• Experience with endpoint detection and response platforms or endpoint security tools
• Basic familiarity with cloud security concepts or Azure/Microsoft cloud environments
• Relevant security certifications (Security+, CEH) or active study toward certification
• Hands-on security learning through labs, CTFs, or personal projects
• Experience in technical support or customer-facing technical roles
• Background in IT networks or systems administration
• Additional European languages
