Analyst, GTM Analytics

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization in their search for an Analyst, GTM Analytics based in Costa Rica. Our client is a data infrastructure company serving thousands of organizations globally, and they need a detail-oriented analyst to support their go-to-market teams with data-driven insights.

In this role, you'll answer business questions directly by pulling and structuring data, summarizing findings clearly, and delivering actionable recommendations. Most of your work will involve writing SQL queries, working in spreadsheets, and translating data into insights that Sales, Strategy, RevOps, Marketing, and Deal Desk teams can use immediately. When dashboard requests arise, you'll help scope requirements and coordinate with the central data team.

This is a developmental role designed for someone early in their analytics career. You'll work on well-scoped requests initially, building toward more complex and ambiguous analyses as you gain experience. You'll use modern AI tools like Claude to refine queries and accelerate your work.

Responsibilities

• Write and adapt SQL queries against well-defined requests, using AI assistants to refine logic and troubleshoot errors
• Look up existing metrics in BI tools to understand how they're built and reuse that logic appropriately
• Pull, clean, and structure data in Excel or Google Sheets to answer stakeholder questions
• Summarize findings into clear, plain-language takeaways for non-technical audiences
• Validate data accuracy against source systems before sharing outputs
• Ask clarifying questions to properly scope requests before beginning work
• Escalate requests requiring deeper analytical judgment to senior team members
• Maintain documentation of recurring requests and their underlying logic
• Support ad hoc reporting needs across multiple go-to-market functions
• Build working knowledge of the organization's GTM data model, including CRM objects, opportunity stages, and fiscal calendar

What We're Looking For

Required Skills:

• Working knowledge of SQL (SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY, basic aggregate functions)
• Comfortable using AI tools like Claude to write, debug, or refine queries and analysis
• Advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets skills including pivot tables, lookups, and formulas
• Clear written and verbal communication skills in English
• Basic understanding of SaaS sales concepts such as opportunity stages and pipeline
• Strong attention to detail with a habit of checking your own work
• Comfortable asking questions rather than guessing at ambiguous requests
• Able to navigate existing dashboards in tools like Looker or Omni to trace how metrics are defined

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with BI or exploratory-analysis tools like Looker, Omni, Sigma, or Hex
• Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
• Prior internship or role in analytics, RevOps, or FP&A
• Basic Python knowledge
