Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential property technology client in Hamburg who is building a comprehensive management platform with an innovative AI-first development approach. As a Full-Stack Engineer, you will:

  • Develop new features for a property management system using AI-assisted development tools and established architectural patterns
  • Take ownership of pull requests through to release: reviewing code, testing, resolving conflicts, and ensuring only clean, correct code goes live
  • Serve as the critical quality gate for AI-generated code, identifying subtle issues that automated pipelines cannot detect
  • Maintain codebase consistency and long-term maintainability through shared patterns and clean data modeling
  • Own the full journey from concept to release, ensuring features reach users quickly and with high quality

What We're Looking For

Our client needs an engineer who can thrive in an AI-assisted development environment while maintaining rigorous quality standards:

  • AI-first development experience: Proficiency with Claude Code or comparable AI coding agents, with the critical judgment to review and validate generated code rather than accepting it blindly
  • Full-stack TypeScript expertise: Strong command of React on the frontend and the ability to write and review backend code including APIs, database queries, and services
  • Code review judgment: Ability to critically evaluate pull requests, provide clear constructive feedback, and take responsibility for what gets released
  • PostgreSQL and data modeling: Deep understanding of transactions, indexes, foreign keys, and migrations, treating database schemas as long-lived contracts
  • Git proficiency: Comfortable with rebase workflows, merge conflict resolution, CI pipelines, and branch-based development
  • Team discipline: Ability to work within established team patterns and conventions
  • Location: Must already reside in Hamburg or surrounding areas and be available to work from the office in Winterhude multiple times per week (not a remote position)
  • German language: C-level proficiency required for internal communication and understanding stakeholder requirements

Valued additional experience:

  • Fly.io or Docker deployment experience
  • Integration with external APIs (CRM, accounting systems)
  • Eye for UI consistency and design systems
  • Interest in the construction or property renovation domain
