Senior Accountant / Bilanzbuchhalter (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential renewable energy organization seeking a Senior Accountant to join their central accounting team in Berlin. In this role, you will provide technical leadership to AP/AR accountants and collaborate closely with controlling, treasury, tax advisors, and auditors while supporting the development of a modern, international finance organization.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under HGB and IFRS standards
• Manage accounting operations for multiple entities independently
• Provide technical guidance and support to accounts payable and receivable accountants
• Contribute to group-level reporting and intercompany reconciliations
• Prepare VAT pre-registrations and other statutory tax filings
• Coordinate and provide technical support during year-end audits and tax inspections
• Participate in the ongoing development of the Oracle NetSuite ERP system
• Analyze and optimize accounting processes
• Collaborate closely with controlling, treasury, and operations departments

What We're Looking For

• Completed commercial training with certification as Bilanzbuchhalter or comparable qualification
• Minimum five years of professional accounting experience, including several years of independent preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Strong knowledge of HGB and IFRS accounting standards
• Experience working in a group/consolidated environment
• German and English proficiency at minimum B2 level
• Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience (NetSuite, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics) is advantageous
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style
