Technical Project Manager (m/f/d) AI Projects

Responsibilities

Our talent team is representing a confidential robotics organization seeking a Technical Project Manager to coordinate AI and automation projects across engineering, research, and operations teams in Munich.

In this role, you will:

• Project Delivery: Define objectives, plan schedules, and own task allocation and resourcing through deployment across distributed stakeholder locations
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the interface between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, maintaining alignment on goals, milestones, and progress
• Team Coordination: Coordinate cross-functional project teams and facilitate Agile ceremonies including Scrum and Kanban
• Risk Management: Identify project risks, develop mitigation plans, and resolve issues that threaten milestones or delivery commitments
• Hardware Procurement: Manage procurement of hardware and related equipment, coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders on acquisition, delivery, and allocation within project budgets
• Process Improvement: Evaluate and refine project workflows and run post-project reviews to capture lessons learned

What We're Looking For

Essential qualifications:

• Degree in robotics, computer science, mechatronics, or related field, or equivalent professional experience managing technical projects
• Proven experience managing complex technical projects using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), preferably in automation or robotics environments
• Strong verbal and written communication skills that translate technical concepts for varied audiences
• Working understanding of robotic system components, including sensors, actuators, and communication interfaces
• Fluency in English, written and spoken

Beneficial qualifications:

• Experience with ROS, Python, and Linux-based environments
• Proficiency in Chinese language
• Willingness to travel to stakeholder and customer locations (25–40%), primarily in East Asia
